Who Is ColCam?
"I started in the Automotive Industry in 1969 as an apprentice Motor Mechanic. 2006 I’m still here but in a different capacity, I now teach Automotive and Technology students in Melbourne."
"Throughout my years in the trade I have worked for many different manufacturer dealers including Ford Australia. I have also worked on heavy and associated vehicles, motorcycles and in speciality workshops. I owned my own automotive business as well as managed other peoples automotive businesses. Throughout my career my passion has always evolved around Motorsport."
"Since my apprenticeship I have been involved with many forms of motor racing as a Technician/Mechanic finally working with the factory TOYOTA Group A Race Team, with the highlight sixth outright at Bathurst. I raced as an owner/driver for several years. Tracks raced at included Sandown, Winton, Philip Island and Calder Park. After retiring from racing I went to the University of Melbourne and gained a Diploma of Teaching and Graduate Diploma in Information and Communications Technology. For the last eleven years I have been training the new generation of mechanics, some which have now started their own automotive businesses."
