Two West Australian Ford dealerships have won the national Ford Dealer of the Year awards for 2001.The National Metro Dealer of the Year award went to Denis McInerney of McInerney Ford in Morley, while Colin Lane of Lane Ford in Mandurah won National Rural Dealer of the Year.
Ford Australia Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Bruce McDonald said "This is the time we recognise and acknowledge our entire dealer network. The competition between our dealers is of a very high standard, and the Dealer of the Year awards recognise and reward the best of the best."
Denis McInerney of McInerney Ford in Morley, WA said, "Winning the National Metro Dealer of the Year award is a culmination of a lifetime's work. This recognition is a credit to my company and the efforts we have made to concentrate on our customers."
Colin Lane has now won National Rural Dealer of the Year three times, in 1998, 2000 and 2001. "The drive and energy of our top management team and staff has enabled us to produce this result. It's great to have our dedication and success recognised nationally," said Mr Lane.
Ford dealerships nationally are categorised into ten divisions depending on their size and new vehicle sales volumes. Points are awarded for meeting and exceeding set objectives in key performance areas of sales, customer service and satisfaction, corporate citizenship, leadership and vision.
All dealers aim for the highest point score within their category to be in the running for a prestigious Dealer of the Year award. The national winners are the dealerships with the overall highest point scores in metropolitan and rural areas.
