The men who are committed to keeping Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup on track for the 2007 V8 Supercar Championship Series are about to become dedicated to a new cause as the crew from TeamVodafone prepare to throw out their razors to participate in the annual men’s health fundraiser, Movember.

From today (Thursday, 1 November) 25 crew members from TeamVodafone will become ‘MoBros’ and will grow a moustache for the month of November with each calling on friends, family and the public to sponsor their facial hair growing efforts to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and Beyond Blue.
As the moustaches within the team continue to become bigger and bushier regular MoGress reports will be posted at www.teamvodafone.com with the best mos, handlebars, goaties and flavour savours in pit lane to be on display for the public.
Mark Dutton Chief Mo Bro and Engineer for Jamie Whincup said that the fundraising initiative provided the team the chance to have a bit of fun while being part of a great cause.
“Overall everybody is getting into the spirit of Movember and there are even rumours that sometime in November you may even see the TeamVodafone Falcon’s sporting their own special tache,” Dutton said.
“We know that we can do a pretty slick pit stop but the growing of a mo may be another story – I think you can expect to see some David Boon and Tom Selleck look-alikes walking around the TeamVodafone garage in the coming month.”
The TeamVodafone crew will join Vodafone staff from across Australia for the Movember fundraising activity with TeamModafone striving to raise more than $100,000.
“We know that TeamVodafone has some fantastic fans out there who have supported us to victories at Sandown and Bathurst but now we are calling on their encouragement for a different kind of race – and that is to raise money for men’s health,” Dutton added.
Individuals wishing to support the TeamVodafone crew can do so by visiting the Movember Website
