Sydney Motor Show 2001 - Ford Adds a Splash of Colour to the Motor Show

"Ford is embracing the strength and statement that yellow makes," says Ford Australia Colour and Trim Manager, Sharon Gauci.
"Yellow is a bright, strong, fresh and vibrant colour that requires a certain amount of confidence and dynamism. It's a colour that will be noticed and seen."
"The current trend is for solid yellow colours, but this will soon translate into metallics as well."
The Kanary Yellow Ka2 featured at the 2001 Sydney Motorshow is fitted with a sporty bodykit and a chrome-tipped exhaust. It features a yellow and black trimmed suede interior, which is complemented by a body-colour insert on the gear knob, and a body-colour clock surround. The "Ka" logo is featured on the carpet mats and the stainless steel tread plates, with the "Ka Collection" logo on the B pillar appliqués. The Ka2 Collection in Kanary Yellow will also include rear head-rests, an adjustable back seat, and a luggage compartment stowage net.
The Summer Escape continues the vibrant yellow colour theme, introducing "Sunshine Yellow" to the range. It also comes complete with more than $2,175 of extra value (for a RRP increase of only $500), including a colour-coded rear spoiler, front and rear skid plates, scuff plates, and front and rear carpet mats.
The Mustang Cobra on display at the Sydney Motorshow is fitted with an aggressive RA front bodykit, rear spoiler and chrome-tipped exhaust ? and bright yellow exterior paint, while the interior is re-trimmed with yellow and black suede. Yellow will be offered as a colour option from November 2001 in addition to the current colours ? Crystal White, Black, metallic Laser Red and metallic Silver.
