More than $2,175 of extra value (for an RRP increase of only $500) will complement the already well-specified Escape, and add to the feature upgrades taking place on the XLS version.
"Our customers are going to love the extra features on the Summer Escape," says SUV and Light Commerical Marketing Manager, Kevin Lillie.
"It also introduces Sunshine Yellow to the colour range ? appropriate for a vehicle aimed directly at summer fun."
Summer Escape incorporates a colour-coded rear spoiler, front and rear skid plates, scuff plates, and front and rear carpet mats. Only 500 will be available.
XLS feature upgrades:
Feature upgrades to the XLS Escape include power rear vision mirrors, a large centre console with lid, and a new interior trim ? including driver lumbar support, driver seat height adjustment and seat back pockets.
"We've added even more features to the XLS Escape on a permanent basis as a direct response to what our customers were telling us," says Kevin.
"They love the freedom Escape offers for both on-road and off-road driving, especially the V6 capability, but wanted even more features for extra comfort while enjoying that freedom.
"These enhancements will meet those needs while only costing $200 (RRP) more."
The new XLS will also be available for sale from November.
