Sydney Ford V8 Fans Dig Deep for Breast Cancer

The National Breast Cancer Foundation has now received $22,500 so far in 2004 thanks to Ford Racing and its supporters of the Ford Racing Superbreakfasts.

The Sydney Ford V8 Superbreakfast held at the Westin today alone raised $2500 with one attendee set for the ride of his life aboard the Ford Falcon V8 Supercar of Shell Helix Racing's Steven Johnson.

Leigh Rapson got the shock of his life when his name was read out as the winner of the fundraising raffle!

With future Ford V8 Superbreakfasts in Melbourne (Sandown), Surfers Paradise (Gold Coast Indy), Launceston (Symmons Plains) and Parramatta (Eastern Creek), at least $50,000 is hoped to be raised for Breast Cancer Research.

320 people enjoyed a great morning's entertainment with all of Ford's 15 officially supported drivers mixing and mingling with business people and fans alike.

Adding to the morning was Wallaby star Phil Waugh, as well as Sydney's Swans coach Paul Roos as well as players Paul Williams, Nic Fosdike and Lewis Roberts-Thomson.

The next Ford Racing event will be the Ford V8 Superbreakfast at the Crown Casino in Melbourne on Thursday 9 September.

One of the highlights of the event is an auction for a hot lap with the man who finished second at last year's Betta Electrical Sandown 500, Steve Ellery driver of the Super Cheap Auto Racing Falcon. There will also be a separate raffle with lots of great prizes.

That event again will raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, with plenty of great prizes on offer.

Tickets are priced at $80 (plus booking fee) and can be booked through www.Ticketmaster7.com or by calling 13 61 00.
