Mears joins PATAP at a time of significant growth for the company in Australia and South-East Asia with a mandate to drive the strategic development and expansion of Prodrive?s operations within the region, and coordinate with Prodrive?s extensive Automotive businesses in Europe and North America.
Prodrive Automotive Technology Asia-Pacific provides world-class engineering services and leading-edge technical solutions to automotive manufacturers and distributors in Australia and throughout South-East Asia from offices in Melbourne and Bangkok, Thailand.
Mears brings a wealth of high-level corporate experience to PATAP through his 26-year career in business administration, manufacturing and marketing. Mears joins PATAP from his previous position as General Manager ? Power and Industry Operating Division ? of Silcar: a joint venture operation between communications company Siemens Ltd and construction company Thiess Ltd.
Previously, Mears has held senior marketing and operational positions with South Pacific Tyres and has extensive international experience in manufacturing and operational roles, as well as both high-level business strategy and new business start ups.
Mears has an MBA and a Master of Marketing from the Melbourne Business School.
