The official shakedown completed around 150km of running for the Ford Focus this week which also included a corporate ride day on the Wednesday.
Driver Michael Guest is primed for a top performance at this weekend's fifth round of the NEC Australian Rally Championship.
"We have given the new motor a really good run ahead of the official competition this weekend," said Guest.
"The engine has more power and it with some other improvements in the suspension set-up, it feels like it's 20% better all around.
"The Focus has been faultless during the running at the corporate day as well as the shakedown, so I have no reason to think we'll have any major dramas this weekend.
"We are very well prepared after also completing the reconnaissance yesterday. Looking at the roads it'll be a fast event and in some stages we'll set times amongst the leaders.
"Although we are still in the infancy of this program, we can feel confident of being in the top-10 throughout. That's a pretty big call with a two-wheel-drive vehicle and probably the best entry of any event this year.
"However, the car is just getting better at each event, so we'll really put our head down.
"The other factor with the road conditions is that it rained yesterday and today. This is a good thing as the roads will be nice and hard and not dusty. These roads have a very good base, so the there shouldn't be too many damp or boggy patches over the weekend.
"We are confident of having a strong tyre package from Hankook, so we have all the boxes ticked."
The Rally South Australia is expected to attract a crowd in excess of 30,000 people, making it the most popular event in the Australian Series.
The Rally South Australia features just under 192 competitive kilometres over 19 timed stages.
