When Territory goes on sale in June there will be no less than 66 accessories available from Ford dealerships around the country, with 60 of those accessories designed and developed exclusively for Territory.
"We were able to join at the ground floor when Territory designing started in 1999," said Ford Customer Service Division Vehicle Personalisation Manager Jason Miller.
"That enabled us to work with the designers to produce exciting and innovative accessories totally integrated with the Territory styling brief.
"The end result is a range of contemporary, stylish accessories with fabrics, colours and textures developed simultaneously with the vehicle itself.
"It gives us an accessory line-up featuring styling elements that complements Territory theme of endlessly adapting to the customer's lifestyle."
Miller said the accessory range would help customers realise the depth of engineering involved with the Territory program.
"We've developed products that clearly demonstrate we've thought long and hard about how the customer will use Territory, and how our accessories can enhance the overall driving experience."
Included in the range are:
"Customers will be able to set up their Territory to take to them to the snowfields one weekend with the roof-mounted ski-racks, then the next weekend convert the vehicle to help them explore off the beaten track.
"The next weekend they can load up the car fridge with culinary delights to enjoy an outdoor picnic while the children explore the countryside on their mountain bikes transported via the roof-mounted bicycle racks.
"Territory is designed to adapt endlessly to the customer's changing lifestyle, and our accessory range will give Territory owners the ability to explore any variety of outdoor pursuits."
Miller said Territory customers could rest assured in the quality of the accessory range.
"Like all Ford products, the Territory accessory range has undergone a rigorous and extensive testing and development regime.
"We've subjected external accessories to an exhausting range of durability and environmental tests to provide the customer with the very best range of accessories offered on a locally built vehicle," Miller said.
