Make Your Escape with Extra Sun and Alloy Wheels

Ford Australia today announced upgrades to its popular Escape 4x4 range, adding even more value to one the company's consistent performers.

The new ZA Escape, available now, is the latest in a series of upgrades for the model.

"Since launch in 2001 we have responded to customer demand and added more features into the entry level XLS model, and the ZA upgrade continues that affirmative action," said Escape Brand Manager Anthony Ficarra.

The XLS now boasts power mirrors, full cloth trim, driver's seat lumbar support, driver's seat height adjustment, 16-inch wheels and H-rated 235/70 R16 tyres.

The ZA upgrade sees the addition of ABS anti-lock braking as standard on the XLS and the introduction of two new colours ? Mediterranean Blue and Island White.

The addition of ABS on XLS (now standard on all models), gives the vehicle a host of exciting features including:

XLS Escape buyers who purchase before the end of June will also receive free alloy wheels.

"Even with the inclusion of ABS anti-lock braking as standard ? and free alloy wheels until the end of June - XLS recommended retail pricing will remain at just $35,090," Ficarra said.

The interiors of the Escape XLT and Escape Limited have also been improved with the six-stack CD player upgraded from an auxiliary unit to an in-dash six-stack CD player, and the introduction of cut pile velour to the seats and door trim and a new warm steel finish for the centre console.

XLT buyers will also be able to feel more at one with their exterior environment through the inclusion of a free sunroof until the end of June.

"Escape XLT recommended retail pricing ? which includes the free sunroof until the end of June ? will remain at $39,090 and the top of the line Limited version has actually dropped in price to $41,750.

"Escape's comprehensive mechanical and safety package in tandem with no increase in price make it an outstanding value-for-money proposition," Ficarra said.
