TeamVodafone and drivers Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes can hold their heads high after Sunday’s nerve-racking final race that decided the 2007 V8 Supercar Championship Series in which Holden’s Garth Tander sealed the victory by a mere two points from Jamie Whincup.
Both TeamVodafone drivers gave their all chasing down both the HRT and HSV cars in what was a three team race to the final.
The final result saw Jamie finish third for the round and second in the Championship overall, while teammate Craig Lowndes finished fourth for the round and third overall in the Championship.
TeamVodafone would like to thank Partners Vodafone, Sony Ericsson, Ford, Dexion, Toshiba and Caltex for their support throughout the season.
The Team would also like to thank V8 Supercars Australia, Championship Partners including Channel 7 and other media, and lastly but most importantly our fans, friends and family for what has been a tremendous season.
We wish everyone a safe and festive holiday season and look forward to seeing everyone at the season launch in Melbourne, early February 2008.
