Ford Fan Day Frenzy Hits Melbourne

Blue Oval fans are set to flock to Sandown Raceway on Sunday 9 September, with Ford’s star-line up of 15 V8 Supercar drivers plus event host Grant Denyer geared up for action.

A hugely successful first ever Ford Fan Day at Brisbane last month saw over 11, 000 people storm through the doors to celebrate all things Ford Racing and interact with their favourite V8 Supercar drivers.

Ford will now showcase its finest in Melbourne in a guaranteed great day out for the entire family, the free event running from 11am – 3pm.

“The Ford Fan Day is an especially unique day for V8 Supercar fans, we are really able to spend quality time with people,” Craig Lowndes said.

“At the racetrack we are often in a rush due to racing commitments, so a day like this gives us the chance to relax and have some fun.”

“With plenty of attractions and non-stop entertainment, it is essentially a showcase of the best Ford has to offer.”

Ford V8 Supercar driver and Channel Seven personality Denyer will entertain attendees, and coach drivers as they battle it out in their remote controlled V8 Supercars.

Exclusive interviews and panel discussions will take place on the day, giving spectators the chance to ask questions of their favourite Ford personalities.

V8 Supercar drivers are scheduled for regular autograph sessions and photo opportunities, allowing fans to get close to their favourite sporting idols.

Fans can jump in the Jeld-Wen Simulator for an exciting V8 experience, or go head-to-head in the XBOX 360 challenge for the chance to win XBOX consoles and games.

Select V8 Supercars and team transporters will be on display, offering unique tours through custom-built trucks. Kids can also participate in a V8 Supercar colouring competition, bead making and badge making.

Attendees can check out the full range of Ford XR vehicles and various V8 Supercar merchandise will be available for purchase.

Some activities on the day will request a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
