Ford officially celebrated the second-straight V8 Supercar Manufacturers’ title with the stars of Ford Racing at the Ford Australia Head Office in Campbellfield on Monday 11 December.
2006 round winners Jamie Whincup, Jason Bright and Mark Winterbottom joined Ford President Tom Gorman and staff to recognise another winning year.

Craig Lowndes did not be attend as he had to be at the CAMS hearing into yesterday’s final race result. Lowndes lodged a protest at the conclusion of the Phillip Island round after he was forced from the track during the last race, causing him to finish in 29th position, behind Rick Kelly. The protest was turned down and Rick Kelly retained the Drivers Championship crown.
It’s been a great year for Ford on the track with wins at Adelaide, Sandown and of course BATHURST!
