Ford new-boy Marcos Ambrose won the round, ahead of Jason Bright and Mark Skaife.
Richards was Mr Consistency, holding position in the top-ten and all of the weekend’s three races, with the highlight coming in the final race with a fourth placing.
The same race brought a fifth place for Seton, who was forced to start near the rear of the field in race two after a collision lost him a lap in the weekend’s opening race.
Car speed and strong pit stops paved the way for FTR’s charge, and if not for some incidents with other cars and hold-up in traffic, the weekend could have brought an even better result.
“I had a really good racecar this weekend – if not for a disappointing qualifying, I’m sure we could have done even better,” said Richards.
“The last race was the real indication of how good this team is, both Glenn and I running together near the front.
“Everything is there and I’m looking forward to Canberra, as I won the event overall there last year.
For Seton, 11th place overall was a great comeback after the disappointment of race one.
“I must say that I was fired-up for races two and three, and I had a very good run,” said Seton.
“We could be disappointed with the result – but the moral in the team is very good and we will have a strong package for Canberra.
“We plan on introducing a new car for Steven at that event, and I’m sure it will be very strong – all I have to do is make sure I beat him.
“If I can do that, I know that we will be at the front.
The GMC 400 will be held in Canberra on June 7 – 10.
