In response to media coverage relating to the Queensland Ambulance Service and the Ford F-Series, Ford Australia wishes to clarify the following facts:
- The vehicles concerned were imported and converted by a private company and have not at any stage been endorsed or warranted by Ford Australia.
- The product issues that have lead to the recall relate to issues with the conversion to right hand drive by the importer.
- This conversion process is unique to the private conversion company and does not relate to any new, factory-built, right-hand-drive F-Series trucks due to go on sale in Australia next month.
