Bright Second in Bathurst Qualifying

CAT Ford Performance Racing’s Jason Bright has set the second best time in today’s qualifying for the Super Cheap Auto 1000 at Bathurst.

Bright set the time late as the Ford team continued to tune the Falcon throughout the 45-minute session.

“We spent the majority of the session trying some different things and got it pretty much right at the end,” said Bright.

“We had two practice sessions earlier today where we really worked on having a good race package. That package turned out to be pretty handy in qualifying as well.

“Importantly we are still building and we can get the car a little quicker tomorrow. We are very happy with the car heading into Sunday”.

Bright will be partnered by fellow Sandown 500 winner Mark Winterbottom.

Tomorrow’s rundown includes a one-hour practice session before the top-10 shootout in the afternoon.

Network Ten’s coverage tomorrow is from 12pm-5pm and Sunday’s all-day telecast screens from 7am-5pm.
