BA Falcon Reaps Awards

Ford's BA Falcon Futura has been judged Australia's Best Family Car by a panel of judges representing each of the major automobile clubs in Australia.The same panel also selected the XR6 Turbo as Australia's Best Sports Car under $57,000.
"These rewards are recognition of the high levels of technology, safety, performance and features that we have built into the new BA Falcon range," says Ford Australia President, Geoff Polites.
"The automobile clubs who judged our vehicles the best in the country do so based on a wide range of factors and the BA Falcon Futura and XR6 Turbo have come out ahead in their categories.
"The endorsement of such highly regarded organisations as Australia's seven auto clubs, who represent 6 million members country-wide, is a very rewarding result for everyone at Ford Australia ? all of whom have put their heart and soul into delivering Australia's best car to our customers."
The awards for Best Family Car and Best Sports Car under $57,000 were presented to Ford at the annual Australia's Best Cars announcement earlier today. The judging panel consisted of representatives from NRMA, RACV, RACQ, RAASA, RAC, RACT, and RAANT.
