The 2009 Ford Performance Vehicles FPV Open Day was held today

The FPV Open Day was held today on Sunday 1st March, 2009 at 33 Glenbarry Road, Campbellfield and was well attended by enthusiastic and dedicated Ford fans from 9am until 3pm and later. Although the day was overcast with a hint of rain, it did not dampen the spirits of everyone presenting their immaculately presented Fords of all types.
For the bargain entry of a gold coin donation, with all proceeds supporting the Guide Dogs Association of Victoria, the public were able to participate in a day of fun for all the family including plenty of activities for the kids.
Featuring a huge display of past and present FPV models, and other assorted Ford performance models, members of the public will also be allowed unprecedented access to the FPV production facility to see where tomorrow’s Ford legends of the road are born.
FPR racers Mark Winterbottom and Steven Richards on stage Auctioning some Ford Parts for the benefit of the Royal Guide Dogs Association of Victoria. They were on hand to answer all the hard questions about Ford V8 Super Cars in the upcoming 2009 Series and sign Ford merchandise purchased on the day.
And to add to the excitement, Ford Performance Racing also opened the doors to their race workshop. Maybe this was the impetus that some of the interstate Ford owners and Club Members needed to drive to Melbourne for the day.
